If you have a business and you have zero online presence, you run the risk of being eclipsed by people who are online. Why is this case? Well, for starters businesses that are online are easier to find, they are easier to contact and it’s easier for potential customers to know whether or not they offer them value. Being online is absolutely necessary, unless your business is one of the rare business that don’t need an online presence at all (a very rare case indeed).

Ok, now I have got you thinking about getting your business online and the next question is how do I go about this? It’s not crazy hard if we are being totally honest. You could even Google your way around the process and get some pretty comprehensive information to set you on your way. If you’re one of those lads/gals who doesn’t believe in Google and you would rather someone actually walk you through the A-Z of getting your business online then you might as well mark your calendar for the Google for Business Bootcamp being hosted by Afrodigital. The bootcamp was supposed to be held last month but Afrodigital switched up the dates and now it will be held over two days – 29 and 30 November. It will start at 9am up until 3pm on both days.

What will you be getting if you attend?

The boot camp is meant to help marketers, business owners and entrepreneurs to maximise the reach of their businesses. Discussions will be held on SEO (Search engine optimization) which determines where you appear in online searches. If you’ve used Google Search you’ve probably noticed that you tend to trust the sites ranked higher.

Apart from SEO, the Afrodigital’s Bootcamp will also cover AdWords, Google My Business and Google Analytics. These will familiarise you with how you can get your business on Google Maps, how to make revenue via advertising and also tracking statistics once you’ve established an online presence. All interesting and necessary stuff if you plan on creating an online strategy.

The venue has been changed from Gecko Gardens to Mandel Training Centre in Marlborough.

If you want a two-day ticket then you’ll have to pay $150 but if you prepare to pop in for one day then you’ll have to part with $100. You can pay via EcoCash, Zipit, Zimswitch, Visa or Mastercard.
